BCM4312 vs AR5B125, which card is better?

Hi, I have netbook with BCM4312 and I think everything works well.
Now I've got old not working laptop which had AR5B125 (working) and I'd like to know which will be better (first if it is capable of monitor mode, then what about signal strength etc.)?...
