Skip setting the BSSID for now, and only specify the PCAP that contains the handshake,

Bear in mind that a lot of devices do MAC randomization. So for example, they could be a certain MAC one time, and a different one 30 seconds later, and even change when they connect.

They're probably similar. Could you define 'various tasks' you are talking about?

PAU09 and the NEH you mention are good but they're limited to 802.11n.

I don't know the specifics of the driver, but you may be able to disable one antenna and just use one panel on the first connector (you'll probably have to open it, it could be written on the PCB).

What you really want is a dual-polarized panel antenna...

I'm a little puzzled about the following:

I used airodump-ng with command "airodump-ng --channel 6 -w wpa2 --bssid XX:XX:XX:XX:XX wlan1"

In a separate terminal I started aireplay-ng to force deauth and had it run simultaneously with airodump-ng...

Maybe I didn't make myself clear?

The cracked password was that of the user of a workstation (to get access to that workstation) NOT that of the WAP. The WAP has a completely different password.
